On the occasion of International Women’s Day 2021, The Malabo Montpellier Panel held a webinar on  “Empowering Women to Succeed in Africa’s Livestock Sector”.

The webinar brought together representatives from the private sector, research, development and policy sectors to discuss the opportunities and challenges in elevating the role of women producers in livestock value chains.

The session was chaired by Dr. Wanjiru Kamau-Rutenberg, and joined by speakers from the private as well as the public sector including Mr Bagoré Bathily, Founder of La Laiterie du Berger, Dr Astou Diao Camara, Researcher from the Senegalese Institute of Agricultural Research (ISRA), and Dr. Modibo Traoré, former Minister of Livestock Services in Mali.
