AKADEMIYA2063 and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), in partnership with AGRA, are convening a hybrid event to unveil and discuss the findings of the Africa Agriculture Trade Monitor (AATM) 2025.
The AATM is the only publication dedicated exclusively to African agricultural trade and policies and serves as an important resource on Africa's agricultural trade in regional and global markets and across selected value chains, using high-quality, sector-relevant statistics.
This edition examines the trade-food security nexus, with a focus on the rice value chain and fertilizer trade and how the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is reshaping trade among regional economic communities (RECs) and driving continental integration.
The official launch of the AATM 2025 will convene a diverse set of experts from the research and development community, the public and private sectors, international and regional organizations, and other food systems stakeholders to discuss the role of agrifood trade in achieving food security and improved nutrition on the continent.
